19.03.2026 New NeuroView on interneurons in coding out!
As part of our investigation of the role of interneurons in cortical coding, a new NeuroView A population approach to cortical GABAergic nterneuron function is now out @Neuron. This article emerged from the collaboration of all PIs of our transregional CRC IN-CODE.
09.12.2025 - ERC Consolidator Grant for the lab!
We are over the moon that the ERC will fund our work on representational drift with a 2025 Consolidator Grant. The project DRIFT-rules will investigate inter-areal communication under representational drift. Postdoc candidates: Please reach out, we have openings in this project to fill!
01.12.2025 - New funding for neuro-inspired AI research
We are more than happy about support from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space for our collaborative project "Neuro-inspired AI for learning and inference in non-stationary environments (NailIT)". The consortium lead by Daniel Durstewitz (Mannheim) with project partner Georgia Koppe (Heidelberg) will investigate AI principles based on neurobiological mechanisms.
